Dolphin Tale 2 is a very moving tale about a dolphin named Winter who lost her companion dolphin. Apparently, dolphins in captivity need to bond with another dolphin in order to survive and live a healthier life.

The story centers around the animal rescue & sanctuary Clearwater Marine Hospital's search to replace the loss of Winter's ailing companion. This proves to be difficult as CMH raced against time to find a suitable dolphin for Winter. As simple as it sounds, a replacement companion is a complicated task since 2 dolphins must accept each before they actually bond.  Unfortunately, Winter's new companion Hope initially rejected Winter.    

This movie helped me understand how relationships worked in the dolphin world. Kinda reminds me of how we humans are no different from them. I enjoyed this movie very much because it showcased the hard work these sanctuaries constantly faced and at the same time, also be able to work successfully within the constraints of rules and regulations governing their operations.

Really loved how the movie ended with a brief question on whether dolphins experienced the same type of emotions similar to us humans in terms of love, fear and loneliness. Kudos to these animal hospitals dedicating their work to help injured and sick animals return to their natural habitat. This is a must see movie for all ages. Go see it!
